Jeanene Licht 1938 - 2004
Jeanene Licht, 65, 405 11th Ave. SW, Minot, died Friday, March
12, 2004 in a Minot hospital.
Jeanene was born on October 12, 1938, in Vernal, UT, the daughter
of Silver and Thelma (Corless) Licht. She was raised and educated
in Vernal and graduated from Uninta High School in Vernal. She
lived in Utah for several years, and moved to Minot in the early
1970's. She worked for several area businesses in Minot throughout
her career. She was very active as a volunteer in Minot. She
was involved in with Community Action Opportunities, Domestic
Violence Center, Midwest Assistance, and served as coordinator
for Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry for several years. She was
forced to retire in 2000 due to poor health. She continued to
live in Minot until the time of her death.
Jeanene was very proud of her volunteerism and loved her family.
In her spare time, she collected squirrel memorabilia and drew
calligraphy.
Survivors: three daughters, Jody Hansen, Minot, Nina
(Clay) Pettys, Lake Metigoshe, ND, and Thelma (Scott) Fields,
Rifle, CO; six grandchildren, Cory (Amber) Hansen, Jason (Allison)
Pettys, Heidi (Jason) Feight, Katie Pettys, Monica Goad and Rebecca
(Robert) Chelewski; four great-grandchildren, Timothy, Alivia,
Andrea and Adam Petys; two brothers, Lynn (Roena) Licht, Vernal,
and Lyle (Shirley) Licht, both of Vernal; one sister, Lola (James)
Allred, Vernal. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She
was preceded in death by two sisters, Lela and June, and one
brother, Melvin.
Memorial Service: Tuesday, March 16, 2004, 2 P.M.,
at the Thompson Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND.
Friends may sign the register one hour prior to service time
at the funeral home.
