or "Amy" Leibham 1915 -
2005 Amelia "Emily" or "Amy" Leibham, 89, Minot, died Sunday, February 20, 2005, in a Minot nursing home. Amelia was born April 8, 1915, in Drake, ND, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Eizenzimmer) Brunner. She attended school in Furston, ND, and worked for Dr. Farty at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot prior to her marriage. On October 8, 1934, she married Sebastian R. Leibham in Anamoose, ND. Following their marriage they farmed near Norwich, ND, where they lived from 1934 until 1957, when they retired and moved to Minot. While in Minot Emily worked three years of hour work and then was employed at the Air Force Hospital and Minot Air Force Base in housekeeping from 1960 until retirement in 1974. Sebastian died March 8, 1995. Emily was a Charter member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church from 1957 to 1993. After moving to the Milton Young Towers she was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church until 2001, when she moved to Somerset Court and was once again a member of Our Lady of Grace. She moved to Trinity Nursing Home in 2003. Emily and Sebastian traveled extensively in the U.S. and in 1981 traveled to Germany. Survivors: Sister, Helen Deschambault of Minot; sisters-in-law, Helen Brunner and Pauline Sherbina, and brother-in-law, Glen Alvstad. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Emily was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Klem, Joe, Peter and Sebastian Brunner; sisters, Josie Alvstad, Mary Kuntz, Elizabeth Schmaltz, Lena Brunner and Ann Schaan. Funeral: Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation and vigil prayer service: Visitation will be Tuesday (today) February 22, 2005, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND, later in the spring.
