Eleanor Lehne 1912 - 2011 Eleanor L. Lehne was born Nov. 12, 1912 at home near Coulee, ND, to Ole J. and Emma Eliason. She was raised on the family farm. She attended a local country school. She graduated from Kenmare High School in 1931 and went on to Minot Teachers College and received a teaching certificate. Eleanor married Leonard Berg of Coteau in 1933. They farmed north of Powers Lake until they bought a farm south of Bowbells in 1946. Two children were born to Eleanor and Leonard, Larry & Emily. Leonard died in 1977. Eleanor married Arthur Lehne in 1983. They lived near Appleton, Minn. At Arts death in 1991, Eleanor moved to Bismarck to be near her children. She loved cooking and baking, crocheting, traveling and working crossword puzzles. She was known for baking the best pies. She has been living at Waterford since 2000. Eleanor was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bowbells for many years and was active in the Ladies Aid. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard and husband Arthur, two brothers, four sisters & three Eliason babies.
