Violet J. Lee 1925 - 2007

Violet J. Lee, 82, Minot, died Monday, August 13, 2007 in a Minot nursing home.

Violet was born May 12, 1925 in Rockford Township, Renville County, near Norma, ND, the daughter of John and Bertha (Brekhus) Lee. She was raised and attended school in that area.

Violet began her career as a telephone operator for a local company. After attending telephone operator schooling, she began her 37 year career with AT&T in various locations, including, Chicago, Ill., Dallas, TX, Stockton and Sacramento, CA. She retired and returned to North Dakota, living in Minot to be close to her family.

Survivors: Sisters, Selma Wentz, Kenmare, ND, Sandra (Wray) Lasher, Regina, Sask., Canada; brother, Chester (Shirley) Lee, Watford City, ND; several nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon, Leroy, Donald, Stanley, Orville and Larry Lee; sisters, Irene Pitzmeyer, Muriel Zalitis and Bonnie Clark.

Funeral: Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at Trinity Homes Chapel.

Burial: Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Evanger Lutheran Cemetery, rural Norma, ND.
