Shirley A. Lee 1940 - 2002

Shirley A. Lee, 62, 1521 7th St. SW, Minot, died Tuesday, August 20, 2002, in her home of natural causes.

Shirley was born March 21, 1940, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Herbert and Minnie (Stangeland) Grose. She was raised in Tolley and graduated from Tolley High School.

On June 3, 1962 she married Donald Duane Lee in Tolley, ND. They lived and farmed in the Norma area. In May of 1980 Shirley and her family moved to Minot. While in Minot, Shirley worked as a day care provider in her home. Donald died November 23, 2001.

Shirley was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Survivors: daughters, Lori (Brent) Armstrong, Debra Lee, Karla Lee, Wendy Lee, and Kim (Terry) Alexander, all of Minot; sons, Darren Lee, and Steven Lee, both of Minot; three grandchildren, Kaylee and Connor Armstrong, and Dylan Alexander, all of Minot; sisters, Carole (Bob) Mehl, and Susan (Andy) Jordan, all of Minot, Elvera Elhard and Kathleen (Ed) Carlson, all of Bismarck; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Duane Lee; her parents, Herbert and Minnie Grose; sister, Joyce Deppen, and two infant brothers.

Funeral: Saturday, August 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday, from noon to 7:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
