Viola M. Leddon 1920 - 2007

Viola M. Leddon, 86, Minot, died Monday, June 4, 2007 in a Minot nursing home.

Viola was born June 15, 1920, the daughter Joseph and Anna (Leax) Bayer in Pittsburgh, PA. She was reared and educated in Turtle Creek, PA.

On December 16, 1939, she was united in marriage to John W. Leddon in Braddock, PA. They made their home in Turtle Creek, PA, where Viola was a homemaker, before moving to Minot, ND in 1988. John died on October 9, 1995. She continued to live in Minot, moving to Edgewood Vista in 2003, and in February of 2007, entering Trinity Homes.

Viola was a member of the First Lutheran Church, a life long member of the Moose lodge, both of Minot and a former member of the Beulah Presbyterian Church in Churchill, PA.

She is survived by: Son: John (Bonnie) Leddon, Minot, ND. Daughter: Freya Poole, Waynesboro, VA; seven grandchildren: Kim (Bill) Johnson, Douglas (Carol) Penney, Tiffany Poole, Laurel (Ron) Ruud, Letitia (Michael) Eavey, Jen Leddon and John Leddon III.
Six grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Joann Penney, siblings Joseph, Irwin, Anna Ross, Ruth Cherry, and sons-in-law Bruce Penney and Robert Poole.

Visitation: Thursday, June 7, 2007, from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Friday, June 8, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial park, Minot

In Lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
