William "Bill"
Larson 1921 - 2009 William Larson was born November 14, 1921, in Mountrail County, near Tagus, ND. He is the youngest of seven children born to Stark and Anna (Stave) Larson. He was raised on the family farm and continued to work and reside there until 1950. He then resided in Jamestown until being admitted to the Grafton State School Developmental Center in 1970. Bill was baptized August 21, 1982, at the All Faiths Chapel at the Grafton State School. In 1989, Bill moved to a Lake Region Corporation group home. He resided at the group home until 1993, when he moved to Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND. He had continued to reside there until his death. Bill enjoyed socializing with people, listening and tinkering with his radio, making model cars, antiquing, sanding wood crafts, and painting crafts. Surviving family includes: nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Stark and Anna Larson; brothers, Lawrence Larson, and Leonard Larson; and sisters, Lillian Larson, Clara Pykonen, Selma Kindsfater, and Adeline Hager A Graveside Service will take place in the Spring of 2009 at St. Luke's Cemetery, rural Coulee, ND. |
