Ronald Leon Larson was born July 3, 1931, a son of Leon and Vivian (Carr) Larson, in Ashley, ND. He was raised and educated in Bowbells, ND, and graduated from Bowbells High School in 1949.

Ron enlisted in the United States Army March 20, 1952. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged March 19, 1954.

Ron married Geraldine B. Adam November 24, 1956, in Drake, ND. They made their home in Bowbells for a short time before moving to Minot, ND, in 1958. Ron had a career in the auto repair business and had worked for Ryan Chevrolet for many years. He retired in1993.

He enjoyed reading, camping, and spending time with his family. He had a special relationship with his nieces and nephews.

His loving family includes:  wife of 54 years, Geraldine, Minot; brother, John D. (Sharon) Larson, Turtle Lake; sisters-in-law, Faye (Carol) Christiansen, Enderlin, and Grace (William) Wald, Harwood, ND; brother-in-law, Don (Wilma) Adam, Drake, ND; and nine nieces, and seven nephews; nieces and nephews, David and Daniel Wald, Patricia Koppendrayer, Lynnette Christiansen, Doreen Stewart, Lance Christiansen, Melinda Seil, Donell Adam, John Larson, Mary Kukowski, Sarah Larson, Judy Dobney, Marc, Matthew, and Marshall Olson, and Michelle Serchuk.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Vivian Larson; sister, Marilynn Olson; and brother-in-law, Melvin “Mike” Olson.

Memorial Service: Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment:  Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND, in the spring of 2011.

Visitation:  There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book on Saturday one hour prior to the service Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to the American Cancer Society, the Salvation Army or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
