Roger Larson 1942 - 2003

Roger Larson, 61, 1336 1st Street SE, Minot, died Thursday, December 25, 2003, at a Minot hospital.

He was born November 18, 1942, in Minot, ND, the son of Garfield and Beulah (Peterson) Larson. He was reared and educated in Mohall.

On September 9, 1961, in Niobe, ND, Roger was united in marriage to Mary Hansen. The couple farmed in Grassland Township near Mohall for a number of years and later moved to Washington, where Roger worked for Boeing Company. In 1970, Roger and his family moved back to Minot where he worked for Lockheed Aircraft, Westland Oil Company and most recently Nash Finch Company where he worked as a driver and shop foreman for over twenty years.

He was a member of the Eagles Aerie and the National Rifle Association. He attended Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Roger loved hunting, fishing, tinkering in the garage and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors: wife, Mary; sons, Tracy (Sandi) Larson and Casey Larson all of Minot; daughters, Melissa (Lyn) Wedar, Minot and Melinda (Rob) Spraggs, Jacksonville, AR; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Dakota, Sam, Sophie, Eli, Emma and Taryn; sister Sandra (Darrel) Block, Carpio, ND and Nancy Brown, Stanley, ND, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd, his parents and brother, Ronald Larson.

Funeral Service: Monday, December 29, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot

Visitation: Sunday, December 28, 2003, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Grano Cemetery, Grano, ND. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
