Larson • 1929 - 2003 Robert A. "Bob" Larson, 74, 1325 27th St. SE, Minot, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003 in a Minot medical center. Robert was born on January 29, 1929, in Minot, ND, a son of Arthur and Zora (Harris) Larson. He attended Minot Public Schools and graduated from Minot High School in 1947. He worked for Gaffaney's for several years while in school, and then went to work as a driver for Purity Dairy. He entered the United States Army, where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, from 1951 through 1953. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he returned to North Dakota and worked for Purity Dairy in Minot until 1961. He was once married to Alice Gehring, and they had three children, Karen, Jackie and Gary in this marriage. He married Elizabeth Bachmeier in 1973. They lived in Minot and he worked as a postal clerk for the US Postal Service from 1961 until his retirement in 1990. Robert and Elizabeth continued to live in Minot until the time of his death. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, and was a 44-year member of the Minot American Legion. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He and Elizabeth enjoyed playing bingo in their spare time. Bob most recently established his skills in computers, and was very proud of his ability to research information and e-mail his kids, grandkids and friends. 6 great-grandchildren, Richard and Kaitlynn Smith, Christopher,
Chansey and Samantha Lewis, and Cooper Cousino; two sisters,
Janice (Ruben) Renfandt, Sawyer, ND, and Audrey Dickinson, Surrey,
