Elizabeth R. Larson 1937 - 2011 Elizabeth Rose Larson was born January 10, 1937, in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Michael and Pauline (Geisinger) Bachmeier. She was raised in the Orrin, Blumfield, and Minot areas. She attended school at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot Elizabeth was married to Albert Bertsch. They had six children, Gary, Mary Ann, Cindy, Brenda, Andy and Lisa. She later married Robert A. “Bob” Larson in 1973. He had three children, Karen, Jackie, and Gary. They lived at East Side Estates for 25 years. Bob retired and they moved into Minot. Elizabeth worked at Home of Economy for 10 years and later at the Dakota Boys Ranch thrift store. She retired in December 2003. Bob passed away in August of 2003. Elizabeth continued to live in Holiday Village. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her sister, Regina Raub, and her friends she met at the Moose Lodge. She loved it when her children and grandchildren came home to visit. Elizabeth was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot. She is survived by her daughters, MaryAnn Balerud, Williston, ND; Cynthia Larson, Crosslake, MN; and Lisa (Scott) Bauer, Suffolk, Virginia; son Andy Bertsch, Minot; Bob’s children, Karen Johnson, Everett, WA; Jackie (Mark) Opland, Des Lacs, ND, and Gary (Sheila) Larson; grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Cousino, Brian and Kyle Schreder, Taylor Balerud, Tasha Burdine , Denise Bertsch, Brenda Bertsch, Kendall Bertsch, Lindsey Bertsch, Alyssa, Heidi, Rachel, Matthew, Thomas, Tyler, and Sara; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; sister and best friend, Regina Raub, Minot, sister Aurelia Moore, Eugene, OR; sisters-in-law, Mary Bachmeier, Minot and Janice Renfandt, Sawyer; Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Bertsch and Bob Larson; parents; brothers, John, Mike, Ben and Tony; sisters, Mary Lesmeister, Bernadine Lee, Ann Schafer, and Margaret Bachmeier; daughter, Brenda Bertsch; son, Gary Bertsch, granddaughter, Sonya Thompson, and son-in-law, Donald Larson Jr. Visitation: Friday, January 27, 2012 from 2-7 at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot Vigil prayer service and rosary: Friday, at 7 pm in Thompson Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot
