Constance A. Larson 1934 - 2002

Constance A. Larson, 67, 209 18th St. NW, Minot, went home to our Lord, April 13, 2002, surrounded by her family.

Constance was born October 1, 1934, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Roy and Eva Westphal. She grew up in various towns in North Dakota and northern Minnesota, where her father was employed by the Great Northern Railway. She graduated in 1952 from Minot High School and attended Minot State College and then enrolled in Trinity Nursing School.

On December 20, 1952 she married Richard M. Larson, Sr. and they lived in Minot where they raised their six children. She worked in Minot for the Bosard and McCutcheon Law Firm and as a secretary to the director of nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital. She later was employed at Bader's Women's Store. She was also an office manager for Cargill Elevator. She worked for the Fair Board when the Fair became the official North Dakota State Fair under the direction of Merle Dahle, Miles Johnson and Vern Stevick, and served as interim manager in 1970. She retired and continued to enjoy family and friends at Strawberry Lake and Minot. She was involved in numerous professional organizations throughout her lifetime.

Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a special friend to all who knew and loved her.

Connie is survived by her husband Dick, Minot, and their six children and families: Richard M. Larson, Jr. and his wife Ann, and their children, Becky, Kristen and Richard M. Larson III, all of Renton, WA; Terry Larson, Kent, WA; Sandra Carns and her husband Terry, Watford City, ND, and their children, John, Grand Forks, Justin, Minot, Jennifer and Alyssa, both Williston, Ricky and Michael, both Watford City; Sheryl Jordan and her husband Douglas, and their children, Doug, II, and Donald, all of Calimesa, CA; Tamara Riba and her husband Grant, and their children, Natasha and Krystle, all Minot; Wendy Arndt and Calvin Arndt, and their children, Sara and Timothy, all of Fargo; Connie was also blessed with four little angelic great-granddaughters, Aubrey, Brooklyn, Hailey and Afton, and one very busy great-grandson, Colin; sister, Clarice Ramage and her husband Arnold, Van Nuys, CA; and a brother-in-law, James Larson of Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin infant brothers, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Westphal of Velva, and her mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. Richard Larson of Minot.

Funeral: Thursday, April 18, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Wednesday, from noon to 7:00 p.m., and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND

Connie will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her (and her food).
