Ardis Larson 1925 - 2010 Ardis Liebel was born on February 24, 1925, a daughter of Walter and Valjer (Danielson) Liebel on the family farm near Carpio, ND. She was raised on the Liebel farm north of Lake Darling Dam, and graduated from Carpio High School. Following graduation, she worked for her mother in her restaurant. She then attended and graduated from New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo, ND. She worked for a beauty shop in New England, ND. She then moved to Minot, where she worked at the Beaver Palace. On October 30, 1948, Ardis was united in marriage to Leonard M. Larson in Minot, ND. They made their home in Minot, where they owned and operated Larson Electric of Minot, retiring in 1986. Leonard died June 23, 1999. Ardis was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. Ardis was a charter member of the Midstate Porcelain Artists Guild. Those who shared in her life: Sons, Meredith (Sharon) Larson, Rodney (Laura) Larson; daughter Marianne Johnson; three grandchildren: Richelle (Darrell) Davis, Ian Larson, Barrett Swanson; Ardis was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Valjer, husband Leonard, brothers David and Clair. Visitation: Thursday, April 8, 2010 one hour prior to the service at the church.
