Altha Landers 1915 - 2006 Altha Landers, 90, Kenmare, ND, died Sunday, January 29, 2006, in a Minot nursing home. Altha May Sigloh was born on November 8, 1915, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Topping) Sigloh on the family farm located in Spencer Township of Ward County, Kenaston, ND. She was raised there and educated at Spencer Township School #2 and attended in Kenmare High School. As a young adult, she assisted her parents with the operation of the family farm. She moved to California and also lived in Oregon for a while until moving back to Kenmare, ND, in 1945. She assisted her parents again with the farm and was a housekeeper for other families. Altha was married to Herman Landers on February 1, 1954, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare. They made their home on a farm near Kenaston, where they farmed small grains and raised livestock. She had continued to haul grain for her two sons after they took over the operation of the farm. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of its Dorcas Circle. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post # 7049, Kenmare, the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 134, Stanley, the Minot Moose Lodge, East Side Birthday club, and the Kenmare Deaconess Hospital Guild. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and whist. Surviving family includes: husband of 51 years, Herman, Kenmare; sons, Jerry Landers and Randy (Julie) Landers, both of Kenmare; grandson, Rocky Landers; brother, Charles Sigloh, Minot; sisters, Elizabeth Sigloh, Minot, Dollie (Ray) Lindberg, Stanley, Frances Lindberg, Stanley, sister-in-law, Christine Sigloh, Kenmare; and numerous nieces and nephews. Altha was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George, Paul, John, Royce, Darel, Ellis, and David; infant brother and sister; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Sigloh, Vera Sigloh, and Nelyda Sigloh; and brother-in-law, Lester Lindberg; and granddaughter, Crystal Ann Landers. Funeral: Thursday, February 2, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at
