Donna J. Lahti, 67, Minot died Friday, January 09, 2009 in a Minot hospital.

Donna Nienow was born May 15, 1941, a twin daughter of Ivan and Evelyn (Jones) Nienow in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot Public Schools.

On July 22, 1960, she was united in marriage to Myron A. Lahti at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home in Minot, where Donna was a homemaker, raising their two sons Bernie and Doug. The couple remained in Minot, where in later years, Donna was cared for by her loving husband Myron as her health failed.

Donna was a very active member of the Bread of Life Church, Minot. She taught Sunday School at Mt. Olivet Church, and was also a former Cub Scout leader. She enjoyed spending precious time with her family and grandchildren, Casey and JeAnna. She also enjoyed spending time going in their paddle boat at Rice Lake. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, Donna was always willing to help babysit her nieces and nephews when they were younger. They loved spending the night at Auntie Donna's. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be sadly missed by all.

Husband: Myron Lahti, Minot; sons: Bernard L. Arneson-Lahti, Omaha, NB, Douglas M. (Kim)Lahti, Logan, ND; brother: Dennis Nienow, Minot; sisters: Darla (Bob) Otteson, Minot, Debra (Lyle) Renfrow, Minot; two grandchildren: Casey and JeAnna Lahti, both of Logan, ND; step-sister Marlys Remington, Minot; step-brother: Lane (Cheryl) Irwin, Rice Lake, ND four special friends Goofy, Riley, Molly and Raz; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Darryl Nienow, her twin sister Dianne McLaughlin, mother and father in law Elmer and Martha Lahti and a granddaughter Nicole Lahti.

Visitation: At Donna's request there will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign a register book on Thursday, January 15, 2009 from 2 until 7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Friday, January 16, 2009 at 1 pm at the Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot

Burial: In the spring of 2009 at the Ryder Cemetery, Ryder, ND
