Clarence Kringlee, 98, Velva, ND, formerly of Norwich, ND, died Friday, November 30, 2007, at the Souris Valley Care Center, Velva.

Clarence M. Kringlee was born November 2, 1909, the son of Arne and Marit Kringlee on the family farm located in Norwich Township of McHenry County, north of Norwich, ND. He attended school in Norwich until the 8th grade, when his father passed away. He then took over the operation of the family farm and continued to farm until the late 1970's.

He was a former member of Norwich Lutheran Church and currently a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church in Minot for a number of years. He was very active as caretaker of the Norwich Lutheran Cemetery for many years, as he has built the chapel that is located within the cemetery. He had also fenced the cemetery and helped with the design of the gates.

He enjoyed flee markets, taking pictures, and sight seeing.

Surviving family includes: niece, Marilyn Nichols, Fair Oaks, CA; and special friend, Carol Schuh, Norwich.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Nicholai, Martin and Albert Kringlee; sister, Bertha Kringlee; and nephew, Allen Kringlee.

Funeral: Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Interment: Norwich Lutheran Cemetery, Norwich, ND.

Visitation: Tuesday from 9 am to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred to Norwich Lutheran Cemetery Chapel.
