Margaret Kriedeman 1909 - 2010

Margaret Kriedeman PhotoMargaret Kriedeman, 101, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 in a Minot nursing home.

Margaret Schiele was born on January 20, 1909, a daughter of Ludwig and Kathryn (Fiest) Schiele on the family farm, McHenry County, ND. She was raised and educated in McHenry County.

On September 19, 1930, Margaret was united in marriage to Arthur Kriedeman. Following their marriage, they lived in McHenry County, where Margaret was a homemaker, raising their son and three daughters. On June 29, 1970, Arthur passed away. Following his death, Margaret lived in Towner for a time, spent a few years in Summers, MT, and returned to North Dakota, residing in Minot and Towner.

Margaret enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, crocheting, doing fancy work and canning. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Drake and the Minot Moose Lodge.

Those who shared in her life:  Daughters Marion (Peter) Miller, Towner, ND, Darlene (Walter) Schnellbach, Deering, ND, Shirley (George) Schnellbach, Mandan, ND; daughter-in-law: Helen Kriedeman, Seattle, WA; 26 grandchildren: 66 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren. numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, son Fred Kriedeman, five sisters, three brothers, one granddaughter, one great grandson and a great-great grandson and special friend John Dosch.

Visitation: Friday, November 19, 2010 from 2-7 at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service:  Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 1:00 pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 2500 Central Ave West, Minot,. ND 58701

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot

Immediately following the graveside service, everyone is invited to the lower level of the church for lunch and fellowship.

The Kriedman family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time.  Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.  May God bless the memory of Margaret.
