Vicki Lynn (Bixby) Kreps

Vicki Lynn (Bixby) Kreps, 59, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 12, 2009, at Trinity Nursing Home, Minot, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Her funeral service will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at River of Life Assembly of God Church, 400 22nd Ave. NW, Minot.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vicki was born in Salem, Ohio, and grew up in Southern California. She graduated from Venice High School and married Chuck Kreps in 1968. They lived in Fresno, CA; Bellevue, NE; Rugby, ND; Carson, ND; and Minot, ND. She received her bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Mary in 1995. Vicki was a devoted wife and mother and an active member of the communities she lived in. She was a volunteer EMT, a drama coach, a Sunday school teacher, nursing home volunteer and enthusiastic rummage-saler. Vicki was full of life, never met a stranger, loved people and was a nurturing and caring person.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck; two sons, Nathan (Kaye) and Justin; two daughters, Kristen (Bill) Tryba and Carlota; three grandchildren, Preston and Victoria Tryba, and Cameron Kreps; her mother, Evelyn (John) Riley; three brothers, Don (Barb), Dave (Renee) and Scott (Sophia) Bixby.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Bixby.
