Arthur Krenz • 1910 - 2010 Arthur Frederick Krenz was born on November 27, 1910, a son of Gustave and Christina (Stubbe) Krenz in Kramer, ND. He was raised and educated in the Kramer area. On September 17, 1933, Arthur was united in marriage to Marie Gessner. They made their home on their farm near Russell. Marie died in 1977. On November 24, 1978, Arthur was united in marriage to Izetta (Marsh) Bethke. They made their home on the farm. For 25 years they wintered in Arizona. In 2003 they moved into Minot. Arthur was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he held many church offices. He was also active in the Tacoma Township board and a member of the Russell School Board. Arthur enjoyed playing cards and pool. He was known for his generosity to his family, his community and his Lord. Surviving relatives include: Wife, Izetta, Minot; children: Ronald (Janice) Krenz, Clitheral, MN, Janice Trempe, Sheboygan, WI, Joanne Amundson, Mesa, AZ, Marlene (Leon) Schmidt, Cedar Rapids, IA; twelve grandchildren: seventeen great-grandchildren: sister: Amanda Biegel, Eau Claire, WI; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie, ten brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter and sons-in-law Robert Trempe and Wayne Amundson Visitation: Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 2 until 7 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot with the family receiving guests from 3 until 5 pm.
