Norma Lorette Krause 1910 - 2005

Norma Lorette Krause, 94, Minot, formerly of Tomah, WI, died Friday, June 24, 2005 in a Minot hospital, surrounded by her family.

Norma was born July 6, 1910, in Oakdale, WI, the daughter of William and Henrietta (Giesler) Rogge. She was raised and educated in Tomah, WI, and graduated from Tomah High School in 1928. Following graduation Norma worked for Giesler's IGA.

On June 15, 1932, Norma was united in marriage to Gerhard "Gary" Krause in Tomah. They made their home in Tomah, where Norma and her husband Gary were owners of Krause Distributing Company and Krause Motors.

Gary died in 1966. Following her husband's death she worked at the V.A. Hospital, Job Corps, Kennedy Auto Supplies, and retired from the State of Wisconsin Health and Social Services as a secretary in 1975.

Norma moved to Minot, ND in 1992 to be with her daughter, Loa, and family. She had 12 wonderful years there.

Norma was an excellent artist. Many will remember her beautiful china paintings and ceramics. She also enjoyed quilting, playing cards, bingo, puzzles and reading. Her biggest joy in life was her family.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the RSK Homemakers and St. Paul's Lutheran Church Mission Circle, all in Tomah, WI. During World War II she was a Gray Lady and volunteered at the hospital.

Those Who Shared In Her Life, Daughter, Loa (Dick) Wilson, Minot; two grandchildren, Debra (Spencer) Hoover, Minot, ND, and Steven (Karla) Wilson, Fargo, ND; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Mark Wilson; sister-in-law, Violet Rogge, Tomah, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Norma was preceded in death by: her husband, Gerhard "Gary" Krause; her parents, William and Henrietta Rogge; sisters, Agnes Pauquette and Glacia Kautz; brothers, Henry Rogge and Forrest Rogge.

Funeral Service: Friday, July 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tomah, Wisconsin.

Visitation: Thursday, June 30, 2005 at from 4 pm until 7 pm at the Sonnenburg Funeral Home in Tomah, Wisconsin. And one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah, Wisconsin
