Wilfred G. Kramer 1937- 2009

Wilfred Kramer photoWilfred G. Kramer, 72, Minot, formerly of Karlsruhe, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in a Minot nursing home.

Wilfred George Kramer was born on August 9, 1937 in Karlsruhe, ND, a son of George and Mary (Schneider) Kramer.  He was raised and educated in Karlsruhe.

On September 16, 1960, Wilfred entered the US Army, and was stationed in Manheim, Germany.  Upon his honorable discharge on September 6, 1963 he returned to Minot where he worked for Home of Economy and Bridgeman Creamery, where he bottled milk, made ice cream and drove the delivery truck.

He loved fishing, hunting and always raised a beautiful garden, which he shared with family and friends.  He also did his own canning and was a softball player.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Kramer, Minot; sister, Cecilia Gerhart, Minot; brothers, Francis (Shirley) Kramer, Minot, James (Sandra) Kramer and LeRoy (Carole) Kramer, both of Colorado.  He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Kramer; brother, Robert Kramer; brother-in-law, Richard Gerhart, and one nephew.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, people may sign a book on Monday, January 4, 2010, from 2-7 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday at 7 in the funeral home chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial:  Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 10:30 am at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot.

Burial:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
