Mary Kramer 1913- 2011 Mary Schneider was born April 11, 1913 on the family farm in Pierce County, near Orrin, ND to John and Johanna (Fisher) Schneider. She was raised and attended school in Orrin. On October 22, 1934 Mary married George Kramer at Orrin. They lived on a farm in McHenry County, near Karlsruhe, ND, where they farmed and raised their family. In 1978 Mary and George moved to Minot, and in 1980 George passed away. While living in Karlsruhe Mary was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Friendly Circle Club and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. In Minot she was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Mary enjoyed raising flowers and always had a huge garden while living on the farm. She loved cooking, baking, making jellies and canning. Mary had a 30 year plaque for entering fair exhibits at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot for clothing, canning, baking and flowers and has many ribbons to show for it. She collected stamps and coins and loved to play cards and bingo. She was a wonderful lady who will be deeply missed. Those who shared in her life, Daughter, Cecilia Gerhart, Minot; sons, Francis (Shirley) Kramer, Minot, James (Sandra) Kramer and LeRoy (Carole) Kramer, all of Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother, Anthony Schneider, Minot; sisters, Barbara Hanft, Charleston, Ill. and Joan Crawford, Westlake, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George; sons, Robert and Wilfred Kramer; son-in-law, Richard Gerhart; grandson, Danny; her parents; brothers, Andrew, John, Frank, Joseph and Adam; sisters, Julia, Sr. Agnes, Catherine, Magdalena and Helen. Funeral: Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
