Aemilia M. Kraft 1930- 2011 Aemilia Monica Gieserwas born November 20, 1930 to Raymond and Monica (Boespflug) Gieser in Hirschville, ND. She was the seventh of eleven children. She attended school in the Rice Lake area. Aemilia and her siblings walked to school in the winter time by crossing the ice covered lake. Aemilia married Joe P. Kraft on November 23, 1948 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fort Yates, ND. They lived in Selfridge, ND from 1948 to 1972, where they had eleven children. They bought a bakery in Kenmare, ND in 1972 and moved there with their remaining children. They lived in Kenmare from 1972 to 1981 after which they sold the bakery and moved to Minot. After they moved to Minot, Joe retired and Aemilia continued baking for a local restaurant for a number of years. Aemilia worked for the Minot Commision on Aging for several years. She was also well known as an excellent seamstress. She made wedding gowns, prom dresses, quilts, and numerous patch projects for her grandchildren. She loved raising flowers of all kinds and baking for her family. Aemilia is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe P. Kraft, Minot, ND; children, Aemilia (Jim) Lindquist, Donnybrook, ND, Chris (David) Krueger, Elko, NV, Cindy (Leo) Feist, Apache Junction, AZ, Martin (Kristie) Kraft, Elko, NV, Raymond (Jaculin) Kraft, Dickinson, ND, Laurie (Kelly Wilkins) Sayre, Rapid City, SD, Deb (Doug) Sternhagen, Mandan, ND, Carol Salazar, Colorado Springs, CO, Frankie Kraft, Minot, ND, Stephanie (Jim) Fehlberg, Cheyenne, WY, and Lydia (Dan) Healy, Sioux Falls, SD; 31 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Dominick) Berger, Michigan, and Beatrice (Charles) Kadrmas, Dickinson. Aemilia was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Philip, John, Joe, Matt and Ralph; sisters, Catherine, Frances, Pauline and Aemilia. Funeral: Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Hospice or an organization of donr’s choice.
