John G. Koski 1922 - 2003 John G. Koski, 81, Minot, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, in a Minot medical center. John was born April 8, 1922, in Chicago, IL, the son of John N. and Alma (Sgronholm) Koski. He was reared and educated in Minneapolis, MN. John worked as a milkman for Franklin Cream, Minneapolis. He later purchased Johnny Hardware in Minneapolis, which he owned and operated for ten years. He then worked as salesman for Keep Fill Products and most recently he worked as head engineer for American Hardware Mutual Insurance Company, Minneapolis. He later retired due of ill health. In 1939, he married Phyllis Machesney and she died in 1974. In May of 1975, he married Mary Couture and she died in 1997. In July of 1998, he moved to Minot, and in December of 2002, he entered the Trinity Nursing Home, where he resided until his death. John is survived by two sons, John E. (Kathy) Koski, St. Louis Park, MN, and Dennis A. (Mary Ann) Koski, Minot and; grandchildren, Debbie (Mark) Westergreen, Andover, MN, John D. Koski, Elk River, MN, Nancy (Shawn) Bergstrom, Parker. CO, Heather (Shawn) Moe, Minot, and Suzanne (Brad) Schoffstall, Langie Air Force Base, VA; great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Haley Bergstrom, Tyler, Dallas and Jacob Westergreen, and Autumn, Krystle and Michael Schoffstall. He was preceded in death by his two wives and his parents and one sister.
