Tony Koschney, 63, Minot, ND, died Sunday, November 2, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Anthony A. "Tony" Koschney was born November 20, 1944, a son of Joseph and Anna M. (Zupon) Koschney in Richland County, rural Cayuga, ND. He was raised and educated in the Cayuga, ND, area. He graduated from Forman High School, Forman, ND.

Tony enlisted in the United States Army December 12, 1962. He proudly served his country during Vietnam and was stationed in Germany for most of his term. He was honorably discharged November 30, 1968.

He enjoyed one son, Brian, from his first marriage.

Tony married Beverly "Bev" (Latzke) Wilson November 19, 1983, in Minneapolis, MN. They resided in Plymouth, MN, until August of 1999, when they moved to Minot, ND.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. He enjoyed wood carving, bird watching, and gardening.

Tony's family would like to express their gratitude to Trinity Hospice for their care, support, and many prayers.

Surviving family includes: wife, Bev, Minot; mother, Anna Koschney, Woonsocket, SD; children, Susan Wilson, Minot, and Michael Wilson, Minneapolis, MN; step son, Richard Swintek, of Texas
Five grandchildren, Heather Brown, Minneapolis, MN, Breanne (Evan) Hankel, Fargo, Hannah, Carma, and Bowen Koschney; three sisters, Linda (Wally) Fechtner, Maggie (Gordon) Johnsrud, both of Minnesota, and Betty (Willard) Haef, of ND; brother, Phil (Dot) Koschney, Huron, SD; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Roger) Laabs, and brother-in-law, Myron Latzke, both of MN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his father; son, Brian Koschney, brother, Joseph "Joe" Koschney; sister, Theresa "Terry" Koschney and sister-in-law, Sharon Latzke.

Funeral: Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
