Janealee Korgel 1947 - 2010 Janealee Frances Korgel was born October 24, 1947, a daughter of Ambrose and Frances (Ripplinger) Roerick, on a farm south of Harvey, ND. She was raised in Harvey until 1956, when she and her family moved to Minot. She was educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1965. Jane married Donald M. Korgel October 19, 1967, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot. They made their home on the Korgel family farm located north of Minot. They raised dairy cows and lived there until 1978. Jane then went to work for Nodak Candy and Tobacco, which later became Wholesale Supply Company as an accountant. She retired in January of 2010 after 30 years. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Minot and served as the secretary/treasurer for the Eureka School for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and making pickles and salsa. She also enjoyed helping others, as she always put everyone else first. Most of all, she loved her home and enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving family includes: husband of 43 years, Don, Minot; son, Sheldon Korgel, and his special friend, Kathy Kemmit, Minot; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ambrose Jr. and Charlene Roerick, Bismarck, Dennis and JoAnn Roerick, Minot, Casper and Sharon Roerick, Minot, and Daryl and Frances Roerick, Bismarck; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane and Danny Schatz, Fargo, Jen and Glen Bayne, Minot, and Lyle and Nancy Korgel, Kennewick, WA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
