Sadie Knuth • 1924 - 2009 Sadie Grace Rebeca Horst was born June 3, 1924, a daughter of Harry and Minnie (Bender) Horst in Parshall, ND. She was raised and educated in Parshall. In 1945, she moved to Minot, where she was employed by Minot Steam Laundry. Sadie was once married to Milfred Telehey. From this union, two daughters, Vivian and Linda, were born. Sadie married Marlin C. "Curly" Knuth August 2, 1965, in Minot. From this union, a daughter, Sharleen, was born. They made their home in Minot. Marlin passed away May 31, 2000. She was a member of West Minot Church of God. She enjoyed having coffee at Lydia's Café and Charlie's. Surviving family includes: daughters, Sharleen Knuth, Minot; son-in-law, Richard Bruins, Montana; grandsons, Floyd and Dan Bruins; granddaughter, Audrey Allen; 6 great grandsons, sister, Florence Thomas, San Diego, CA; brother-in-law, Donald Knuth, Minot; sisters-in-law, Arlene Olson, Crosby, Videll Kubler, Minot, Carolyn Gupta, San Gabriel, CA; and several nieces, and nephews. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marlin; daughters, Vivian Bruins and Linda Telehey; sisters, Edna Horst and Elsie Mae Horst; and brothers, Chester, Luther, Link, Howard, and Wesley Horst.
