William "Bill"
Knight 1941 - 2005
William "Bill" Knight, 64, Lansford, died Thursday,
June 9, 2005 in a Dayton, Ohio hospital while visiting family.
William was born May 8, 1941 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of William
A. Knight and Mary Ellen (Smith) Knight. He was raised in Proctorville,
Ohio, and graduated from Howell High School in Michigan.
On August 4, 1959, he joined the United States Air Force, and
was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB, OH, where he met Linda
S. Blosser. They were married September 29, 1961, at Wright Patterson
AFB, Dayton, OH. They were stationed at Wright Patterson, Ernest
Harmon Newfoundland AFB, Sewert AFB, Tennessee, Vietnam, McConnoll
AFB, Kansas, Lackenheath AFB, England, and Minot Air Force Base,
ND, where he retired after serving 20 years. After retirement,
he was employed by the United States Civil Service and worked
at the MAFB for twenty more years before he retired in October
of 2004.
Following retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons,
playing baseball, attending swim meets, camping, fishing, golfing,
and helping with homework. In his free time he enjoyed golfing,
traveling, mowing grass, reading and was planning the new deck.

H. Knight, Jr., Lansford, J. Bryan (Shelley) Knight, Minot; daughter,
G. Brook (Thomas) Santos, Lansford; grandsons, Zac B. Knight,
Lucas S. Knight, T. Berkley K. Santos, J. Bryden K. Santos; mother-in-law,
Orpha Wade, New Vienna, OH; sister-in-law, Pegge ( Carl) Hudson,
Dayton, OH; nieces and nephews, Missy and Dean Maxwell, Mindy
and Drew Dedden, Eric, Mathew and Tony Corbett, all of Dayton,
OH, Bud (Diane) Estes, Hillsboro, OH,; cousins, Connie (Dave)
Melton, and Dave (Mary) Slagel, all of Michigan.
William was preceded in death by: his mother Mary E. Rose, sisters,
Florence, Shirley, grandson, William Bailey K. Santos, and father-in-law,
Kenneth Wade.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at
10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 14, 2005, from noon until 7:00
p.m. at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
