Audrey B. Kleven • 1924 - 2006 Audrey B. Kleven, 81, Minot, died Monday, February 27, 2006 in a Minot nursing home, after a long struggle with cancer. Audrey Anderson was born on October 26, 1924, the daughter of Casper and Laura (Patterson) Anderson, on the family farm, in Des Lacs, ND. She was reared and educated in the Des Lacs area, attending Des Lacs high school. Following school, she worked at the Leland Parker and at St. Joseph's hospital for a time. On January 26, 1944, she was united in marriage to Arnot P. Kleven in Minot, following their marriage they lived in Minot. In November of 1951, they adopted Marie, at the age of 3 months. They built a home at Lake Sakakawea, near Garrison, ND, where they resided for many years, before returning to Minot. Together they ran a business, K & E appliance repair, where Audrey was the bookkeeper. They retired from that in 2002. In February of 2005, Audrey entered Manorcare Health Services. Arnot died November 23, 2005. Audrey resided at Manorcare at the time of her death. Audrey was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, and the Moose Lodge, both of Minot. She is survived by: Grandson, Joey and his wife, Susan Turner, Minot; extended family through marriage brothers: Archie (Marlene) Kleven, Mentor, MN and Pete (Janice) Kleven, Des Lacs; sisters: Martha Elstoen, Berthold, ND, Doris Edwardson, Minot and Norma Tudahl, Berthold; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Marie, and brothers Clayton and Buddy. Visitation: Wednesday, March 1, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
