Arnot P. Kleven 1924 - 2005 Arnot P. Kleven, 81, Minot, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, of heart failure in a Minot nursing home. Arnot was born February 15, 1924 on the family farm near Ryder, ND, the son of Peder and Annie (Johnson) Kleven. At a young age he moved with his family to a farm south of Berthold where he was raised and attended country school. While growing up he helped his family farm. On January 26, 1944 he married Audrey Anderson in Minot. Following their marriage they built a home on Lake Sakakawea, near Garrison, ND. Both Arnot and Audrey worked in Garrison. Arnot along with his brother-in-law, Thomas Elstoen started K&E appliance repair in the early 60s. Arnot and Audrey later moved to Minot where he continued to run that business until 2002 when ill health forced him to retire. Arnot was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge where he served as Governor. He also enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Moose Lodge. Survivors: Wife, Audrey Kleven, Minot; grandson, Joey and his wife, Susan Turner, Minot; brothers, Archie (Marlene) Kleven, Mentor, MN, and Peter (Janice) Kleven, Des Lacs, ND; sisters, Martha Elstoen, Berthold, ND, Doris Edwardson, Minot, and Norma Tudahl, Berthold; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Arnot was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie Turner; his parents, Peder and Annie, and one brother, Lloyd Kleven. Funeral: Saturday, November 26, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. Visitation: Friday, (today) November 25, 2005, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
