Virgine H. Kleinsasser 1918 - 2002

Virgine H. Kleinsasser, 84, 600 South Main St., Minot, died Monday in a Minot nursing home.

She was born December 9, 1918, in Hillsboro, North Dakota to Hilbert and Clara (Brennan) Baglien. She was reared and educated in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School on June 3, 1937. She then Attended Minot State Teachers College, where she earned her Teaching Degree on May 29, 1940.

On March 20, 1945, she married Joe Kleinsasser at Sidney, MT. They lived in several different areas throughout the years. He died in 1955. She taught in several different areas, including, Kief, Ryder, Souris, Des Lacs, Surrey, Burlington and Rolette. She retired in 1975 after teaching for over 30 years. Following her retirement she lived in Minot and was currently residing at Manor Care Nursing Home.


She was a member of the North Dakota Retired Teachers Association and the Aeolian Club at Minot State Teachers College.

Survivors: sons, Herb and wife Bonny Kleinsasser, Devils Lake, ND; son-in-law, Jim Forman, Minot; grandchildren, Amy Forman, David Forman, Gina Forman, Kaylee Kleinsasser, Tanya Potter and Tiphanie Potter; brother, Norman and wife Jean Baglien, Covington, KY; sisters-in-law, Bernice Baglien, Cincinnati, OH and Mable Baglien, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Sondra Forman; brothers, William, Oliver and Harold Baglien.

Funeral: Friday, 1:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 120 5th Ave. NW, Minot

Visitation: Thursday from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
