Beulah Kjera 1923 - 2007 Beulah was born on December 28, 1923, in Russell, ND, the daughter of Ernest and Maxine (Fisher) Bahn. She was reared and educated in Russell and graduated from Russell High School where she played basketball. After she graduated from high school she moved to Tacoma, WA, where she worked in the payroll office in the shipyards. She married George Kjera on October 8, 1947, in Minot. The couple lived in Maxbass, ND, Fillmore, ND and in 1963, Glenburn, ND, where they owned and operated George's Bar. George died on September 4, 1999, in Minot. Beulah was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenburn and the Glenburn Senior Citizens. Survivors: three daughters, Kathy (Ken) Johnson, Grand Forks, ND, Pat (Duane) Bailey, Minot and Jackie Kjera and her companion Randy Brown,Glencoe, MN; grandchildren, Brad Kjera, Heather (Rick) Schatz, Chris Bailey, Kim Johnson and Kristin (Randy) Stevens; great-grandchildren, Jayden Johnson and Aubrey Schatz; brother, Cecil (Peggy) Bahn, Minot; sisters-in-law, Edna Bahn, Newburg, ND, Dorothy Kjera, Maxbass, ND, and Jan Kjera, Stockton, CA; several nieces and nephews and her extended family, Kim, Dean and Brittney Rosberg. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, brothers, Roy, Earl, Harold, and Clarance Bahn and sisters, Bernice Davis and Beatrice Bley. Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at 1p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn, ND. Visitation: Monday, February 19, 2007, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
