Jesse Kjelbertson 1963- 2006

Jesse Kjelbertson, 43, Minot, died Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at his mother's home in Minot.

He was born on July 30, 1963, in Minot, the son of Randell and Bonnie (Souther) Kjelbertson. He moved to Montana at a young age and later to Wyoming where he lived and worked for 13 years with his father.

In 1979, Jesse moved back to Minot and worked at various jobs including bartending. In the late 1990's Jesse meet, his partner David Sole in Minot and the couple moved to Arizona where they made their home. David died in 2005. Jesse returned to Minot in April of 2006.

Jesse helped raised his nieces and nephews, Mona, John and Jamie and his grandniece and grandnephew, Amanda and Brandon.

Jesse had a great sense of humor and enjoyed the outdoors doing yard work. He had a natural eye for style, loved to decorate and clean. Jesse also loved to travel.

Survivors: mother, Bonnie, Minot; brother, Ricky Kjelbertson, Granville, ND; sister, Debra Pixler, Minot; several nieces and nephews and his dog; Winston. Jesse was preceded in death by his companion, David, father, Randell, infant brother, J.R. Kjelbertson and his grandparents.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Monday, November 27, 2006, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Cremation will take place after the funeral service.
