Betty Kile • 1936 - 2011

Betty Kile, 74, Kenmare, ND, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, in a Minot hospital.

Betty Jane VanBuskirk was born January 21, 1936, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She was a daughter of Carl and Isabelle (Derrick) VanBuskirk. She was raised and educated in East Stroudsburg, PA.

Betty married Walter S. Kile in East Stroudsburg, PA. They made their home there for several years before moving to New Jersey in 1966. Walter later retired in 1995, and they moved to Kenmare, ND, where they have resided since.

Betty enjoyed working in her yard, mowing the lawn and playing Bingo.

Surviving family includes:  husband of 55 years, Walter, Kenmare; son, Walter Kile, Jr., Bismarck; brothers, David (Mary Lou) VanBuskirk, Seneca, SC, and Robert VanBuskirk, of PA; sister, Jean (Elwood) Stettler, East Stroudsburg, PA; as well as a few nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Todd.

At Betty’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no services or visitation.
