Elinor Keller 1916- 2006 Elinor Genevieve Thoreson was born on September 5, 1916, the daughter of Dr. Henry B. and Olydia (Gates) Thoreson in Opheim, MT. She was raised and educated in Mohall, ND, graduated from Mohall High School. She then attended French's Business College in Minot, graduating in 1935. Elinor married Robert L. "Bob" Keller on December 28, 1936, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Mohall, ND. They made their home in Sherwood, ND, for a short time before moving to Minot in 1941. Elinor was active in the Ward County election boards for nearly 40 years. She was also the Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Minot for 12 years. Bob passed away on March 25, 1995. She was a very strong willed woman, who for the last 30 years had endured a very serious case of shingles which never kept her from continuing with her active life. She will be remembered for her love of the English language with daily crossword puzzles in the Minot Daily News. She also entered and won many slogan or puzzle type entries. She was gifted with the ability to write backwards or mirror image, a.k.a., obverse. She and Bob were active in rock collecting especially in agates. She also enjoyed music and played the violin, clarinet, piano and the organ. She was a former member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, where she was a Grand Regent of Catholic Daughters of American and held a state office. She was also active in the St. Leo's PTA. She was currently a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot. Surviving family includes: sons, Richard Keller of Georgia, Thomas Keller and his wife, Darlene, Alpine, CA, and Daniel Keller, Minot, ND; daughter, Donna Becker Olson and her husband, Rod, Lignite, ND; grandchildren, Jeanne Becker Gohl and her husband, Russ, Coreen Becker Caufield and her husband, Jerry, and Mitch Becker; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and one step great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elinor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son-in-law, Willie Becker; and brother, Grant Thoreson. Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, October 17, 2006,
