Donald Dean Kambeitz 1958 - 2002 Donald Dean Kambeitz, 44, Bismarck, formerly of Velva, died Friday, July 26, 2002 at his residence in Bismarck. Donald was born April 29, 1958, in Minot, ND, the son of Richard E. and Jeanne A (Hage) Kambeitz. He was raised and educated in Velva and lived there until the 1970's. In 1974, he entered the Job Corps and got his GED and also received his welding certification. He worked in North Dakota, South Dakota, California and Washington as a construction worker and also in welding. He was currently working for Mid American Steel in Bismarck, which he had been working there for seven years. He married Tina Ohlhauser on September 5, 1992, in Bismarck and they were later divorced. Donald was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Donald was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the Hunting and Fishing Club, both of Velva, and The Boilermaker Machinery Union. Donald his survived by his parents, Richard E. and Jeanne A. Kambeitz, Velva; daughter, Jill Britton, Velva; brother, Gary (Crystal) Kambeitz, Velva; nephew, Richard Kambeitz, Velva; nieces, Danielle Cooper and Brianne Kambeitz, both Velva; special friends, Lori Britton and Jessica Carow, both Velva. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his daughter Zoe and maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at 11:00 am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva. Visitation: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Velva, ND. Rosary: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 7:00 pm at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva. Burial: Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Velva.
