Evelyn Kaczor 1924- 2006

Evelyn Kaczor, 81, 305 8th Ave. NE, Minot, ND, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, in a Minot nursing home.

Evelyn V. Kaczor was born on a family farm near Parshall, ND, November 2, 1924, the daughter of Joseph W. and Mary (Farnce) Kaczor; she was raised on the farm and attended a country school in the area until the eighth grade.

In the 1930's she lived in Chicago, IL, with her mother and brother George for several years. They returned to North Dakota in 1938, and again lived in Parshall. They later moved to Tacoma, WA, where they lived with her sister, Mary. Following her mothers death in 1942, Evelyn moved in with her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Herman Kyle. She had lived with them until 1997, when she moved into Trinity Nursing Home.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was also a personal caregiver and helped raise the Krebsbach and Wheeling children.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Mary Lou (Kyle) Ganje; brothers, John Tomko, George Kaczor, and Joe Kaczor; sisters, Annie Knudtson and Mary McDonald; infant brother, Steve Tomko; and infant sister, Mary Kaczor.

Surviving family includes: sisters, Helen Kyle, Minot, and Susie "Sue" Hovey, Great Falls, MT; Daniel Ganje, husband of Mary Lou Kyle Ganje, Minot; grandchildren, Anna Marie Ganje (Keith Jones), Susan (Scott) Indvik, Daniel (Shelly) Ganje, and Patrick (Teresa) Ganje; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Miranda Voeller, Tanner Ganje, Levi Indvik, and Atlyn and McKayla Ganje; great great-grandchildren, Taylar Romans; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, April 3, 2006, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday at 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Diocese of Bismarck Shut-in Radio Broadcast Ministry.
