Elizabeth "Betty" Jundt 1917 - 2011

Betty Jundt PhotoElizabeth “Betty” Jundt, 94, Minot, died Monday, February 28, 2011, at Trinity Homes in Minot, where she had made her home for the past four years.

Elizabeth “Betty” Richter was born Feburary 10, 1917, in Pierce County, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Magdalen (Gerger) Richter.  She married George Jundt on September 22, 1939, at St. Anselm’s Catholic Church in Fulda, ND.  Following their marriage, they farmed in McHenry County until the early 1950’s, when they moved to Minot.  While in Minot, their only child, Jovita Marie was born on August 11, 1958.  Betty devoted her life to caring for Jovita through the years.  She also cleaned homes for several families in the Minot area.  She enjoyed doing various arts and crafts.  Her husband, George, passed away September 8, 1967. 

Elizabeth was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.

Those who shared in her life are her daughter, Jovita, Minot; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Mike Jundt; and an infant brother.

Funeral: Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Homes, Minot.

Interment:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation:  Friday from Noon to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Friday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry.
