Marjie Bunny Julson PhotoMarjie “Bunny” Julson, 81, Minot, ND, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, in a Minot hospital.

Marjie Marie “Bunny” Hansen was born September 4, 1928, a daughter of William W. and Sarah (Livingston) Hansen, in Towner, ND. She was raised and educated in Granville and later in Velva, graduating from Velva High School.

Marjie married Tilford N. Julson March 29, 1948, in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she worked as a bookkeeper and sales person at Black Drug for a short time. She then stayed at home to raise her two children, Linda and Larry. She had also assisted her husband, Tilford, who was a representative for Minneapolis Law Firms for several years. Tilford passed away November 6, 2006. Following her husbands death, she continued to reside in Minot.

She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot.

She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and overseas with Tilford. She enjoyed baking for the holidays, especially Christmas, and was known for her many chip dips and the fresh buns she made.

Surviving family includes:  son, Larry N. Julson and his fiancé, Gail Evans, Boise, Idaho; daughter, Linda A. Frey and her husband, Richard, Jr., Minot; grandchildren, Jaime Bristol, Minot, and Lea M. Julson, Bend, OR; brothers, Carl (Sandra) Hansen, Redding, CA, and Donald Hansen, Minot; brother-in-law,Vernon (Yvonne) Julson, Key West, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marjie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Tilford.

Funeral: Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment:
  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: 
Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials
: are preferred to Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot, or to the Minot Railroad Museum.
