Sheryl Ann Jordan, 67, Minot, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in her home.

Sheryl Ann Gieser was born October 5, 1941 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Frank J. and Thelma (Wemer) Gieser. She was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School. At the age of 15 Sheryl began working as a surgical aid at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot.

On August 27, 1960 Sheryl married Jimmy J. Jordan in Minot, ND. She worked at Trinity Hospital as a nurse's aid for over 30 years until her retirement. Her husband Jimmy died on January 1, 1990.

Sheryl was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. She served on the Mayor's Committee for Seniors and was active with the AARP - American Association of Retired Persons and NARFE - National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Sheryl was also a member of the Toastmasters and worked with the Senior Citizens Coalition at Independence Inc. in Minot. She was a member of numerous other organizations in the area, but her greatest love was her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and in her free time she liked to crochet.

Those who shared in her life, sons, Andrew (Susan) Jordan and Scott Jordan, all in Minot; six grandchildren, Savanna, Andrew, Alicia, Scott, Shawn and Sara; five great-grandchildren, T'anna, Ciera, Ethan, Damian and Kolby; brother, Martin Gieser, Minot; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jordan; her parents, Frank and Thelma Gieser; infant brother, Joseph A. Gieser and brother, Frank M. Gieser.

Funeral: Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Visitation and rosary recitation: Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with rosary recitation at 10:45 a.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
