Sherman Clay Johnson 1956 - 2004

Sherman Clay Johnson, 48, 812 19th St. NW, Minot, died Saturday of a heart attack in a Minot hospital.

He was born January 16, 1956, in Minot, the son of Marvin and Jeannine (Romine) Johnson. He was raised in Maxbass where he attended grade school and high school. He worked in the grain buying business with his father for a time before becoming employed with Burlington Northern Railroad for several years. Sherman married Clara Miller on November 15, 1985 in Minot. He was employed by Bray's Cleaners for over 20 years, until the time of his death.

Sherman was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor camping. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially with his wife and sons.

Survivors: wife, Clara, Minot; sons, Shane and Brent, both at home; mother, Jeannine Romine, Maxbass and father and mother-in-law, Marion and Peter Miller, Towner. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Johnson; brother, Sidney J Johnson and the Romine and Johnson Grandparents.

Funeral: Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot

Visitation: Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
