Janice Johnson • 1934 - 2006 Janice Gardner was born August 21, 1934, the daughter of Orville and Rose (Olson) Gardner in Kenmare, ND. She was raised and educated in Kenmare, Nogales, Ajo, Gila Bend, Tuscon, AZ, International Falls, MN, and Portal, graduating from Portal High School in 1952. On March 20, 1953, she was united in marriage to Gordon Johnson in Columbus, ND. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Columbus, before moving to Velva in 1972. Janice's family was very important to her, and she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by: Husband, Gordon, Velva, son, Darrel, Burlington; son-in-law, Laurence Anderson, Velva; father, Orville, Minot; grandchildren, Trevor, Tammy and Timmy; sibling and their spouses, Fay and Floyd Nygaard, Apache Junction, AZ; Allen and Gwen Gardner, Pine Valley, CA; Ron Gardner, Nampa, ID; Evelyn Holte, McGregor, ND; Ilene and Norman Hoff, Columbus; Dean and Donella Johnson, Pick City, ND. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive, Janice was preceded in death by her mother Rose, daughter Jeanie, daughter-in-law, Cheryl, father-in-law, George and mother-in-law, Inga. At Janice's request there will be no service and a private
family burial will take place at a later time. |
