Bruce E. Johnson • 1958 - 2007 Bruce was born February 3, 1958 in Minot, ND, the second of five children to Ronald and Blanche (Feldman) Johnson. Bruce grew up on the family farm in rural Carpio. He attended Carpio Public School and graduated from Carpio High School in 1977. He graduated from UND-Williston in 1979 with a farm and ranch degree. Bruce married his high school sweetheart Debra Helseth, daughter of Darrell and Mary (Black) Helseth of Carpio, on November 18, 1978. They had seven children. Bruce was involved in the family farm/ranch operation with his dad and his brother, and was working to build a herd of Registered Red Angus cattle under the family name Bald Eagle Red Angus. He took pride in his family, farming, hunting, grandchildren, his Red Angus and the many he called his friends. He leaves behind his wife, Debra, Carpio, ND; sons, Nathan Johnson, Minot, ND, Andrew Johnson, Noonan, ND, Brian Johnson, Carpio, Jerad Johnson, Carpio; daughters, Kristin (Bradley) Kersten, Kramer, ND, Kelsey (Aaron) Wodtka, Newburg, IN, and Kyleen Johnson, Carpio; two granddaughters, Kaylee and McKenzie Wodtka; father, Ronald Johnson, Carpio; brother, Jeffery (Jodi) Johnson, Carpio; sisters, Eloise (Ron) Worden, Krum, TX, Virginia Stockburger, Fargo, ND, Patricia (Stacy) Abrahamson, Minot; nieces, JeNeil (Kim) Greek, Minot, and their children, Erin, Abbey and Anna; Jamie (Doug) Hull, Weatherford, TX, and their child Paige; Lindsey Kleven, Minot; Megan Stockburger, Fargo; Jessi and Jasmin Johnson, Carpio and Hallie Abrahamson, Minot; father and mother-in-law, Darrell and Mary Helseth, Carpio; many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche; his paternal grandparents, Hillman and Ruth Johnson and maternal grandparents, Everett and Evelyn Feldman. Funeral: Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio, ND. Prayer Service: Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carpio Lutheran Church. Visitation: Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: First Lutheran Cemetery, Carpio, ND. Officiant: Rev.
