Angeline J. Johnson, 78, Minot, ND, formerly of Powers Lake, ND, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Trinity Homes in Minot.

Angeline J. Enget was born July 11, 1930, a daughter of Stephanius "Sam" O. and Inga (Sem) Enget, in Powers Lake, ND. She was raised and educated in Powers Lake, ND, and graduated from Powers Lake High School.

Angeline married Virgil A. Johnson February 15, 1950, in Powers Lake, ND. They moved to Minot in 1963, where Angeline had worked as a waitress for Ellison's Café and various local diners. Virgil passed away January 23, 1986. Following her husband's death, she continued to reside in Minot.

She was a member of Our Redeemer's Church, and the Moose Lodge, both of Minot.

She enjoyed playing piano, baking, playing cards, and dancing.

Surviving family includes: children, DeLaine "Dee" (Virgil) Carico, Des Lacs, ND, Duayne "Duey" Johnson, Bismarck, Vickie (Rick) Olson, Minot, Dianne (Jim) Clark, Stanley, and David (Wanda) Johnson, Stafford, VA; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Pierce, Portland, OR; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Angeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil; infant son, Jerry Allen; son, Jerome; daughter-in-law, Donna Johnson; brothers, Clifford, Avin, Harry, and Orville Enget; sisters, Lillian, Eva, Stella, and Violet.

Funeral: Friday, May 15, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Our Redeemer's Church, Minot.

Interment: Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11 am at Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Powers Lake, ND.

Visitation: Thursday from Noon to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
