Alma N. Johnson 1912 - 2010 Alma Nora Locken was born on September 12, 1912, a daughter of Andrew and Nandy (Olson) Locken in Shealy Township, rural Plaza, ND. She was raised and educated in the Plaza area. On October 11, 1930, Alma was united in marriage to George Johnson in Minot. They made their home in Oslo Township, where they farmed and ranched with their two sons Lyle and Frances. George died February 15, 1974. Alma continued to live on the farm until October of 1976, when she moved to Minot, where she worked as a waitress. Alma was a member of the Minot Moose Lodge, where she loved to go dancing with many of her friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Surviving relatives: Son: Vernon (Ardith) Johnson, Plaza; twelve grandchildren: several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Frances, and siblings Alvin, Edwin, Orville, Engvald, Omar, Leon, Florence, Mable and Gladys, and a great-grandson Wade Johnson.
