Deloris E. "Tootie" Olson Johansen 1922- 2011 Deloris E. “Tootie” Johansen was born October 12, 1922, a daughter of Carl and Edna (Baxter) Olson, in Ryder, ND. She was raised and educated in Ryder, graduating from Ryder High School in 1941. Deloris married Raymond C. Olson May 6, 1941, in Sidney, MT. They made their home in Ryder, where they operated the Ryder Co-operative Creamery for several years. In 1961, the family moved to Minot, where she worked for various department stores. She had also worked as a florist at Barlow’s Miracle Mart for several years. Raymond passed away May 25, 1983. She later retired and moved to Max, ND. Deloris married Herbert Johansen November 28, 1997, in Ozark Mountains, Arkansas. They made their home on a farm near Ryder, ND. They continued to reside there until moving into Trinity Homes in January of 2010. Herbert passed away June 22, 2011. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ryder, Zion Lutheran Church in Minot, and had attended Calvary Presbyterian Church in Ryder. She enjoyed making floral arrangements, visits from family and friends, doing crossword puzzles, word searches, and reading. Surviving family includes: children, Ray “Red” (Shirley) Olson, Minot, Roxann (Bill) Klein, Minot, and Rick (Vickie) Olson, Minot; grandchildren, Connie Olson, Angie (Jerome) Owens, Paul Klein, and Dustin Olson, and his fiancée, Becky Trondson; great-grandchildren, Cody (Tammy), Brittaney, Cali, Will, Zana, Tucker, Austin and Abigail; sister-in-law, Marion Quick, Minot; special cousin, Faye Karna, Ryder; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
