Randy J. Jensen• 1955- 2011 Randy Jerome Jensen was born November 14, 1955 in Kenmare, ND to Orville and Beverly (Smith) Jensen. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Kenmare High School in 1974. Randy worked for Neshem-Peterson Construction in Berthold, ND for a time. He was once married to Penny Redmer. They were married on December 28, 1975 and to this union a daughter, Amber, and a son, Adam were born. He later helped Floyd “Speedy” Bryan farm and ranch for 21 years near Bowbells and then worked at Farmers Union Lumber Company in Kenmare. At the time of his death he was employed at Ward Williston Oil Company as a dispatcher. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he loved playing cards and telling jokes. He was very proud of his children and dearly loved his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed raising cattle, something he did for most of his life. He was a wonderful man, who will be deeply missed. Randy was a member of Evanger Lutheran Church, rural Norma, ND. He was a member of the American Stockmen’s Association and in his high school days was active in the Future Farmers of America. Those who shared in his life, Daughter, Amber Woodbeck and children, Chelsea and Mya and Amber’s special friend, Keith Heitzig; son, Adam (Toni) Jensen and children, Taylor, Lexi, and baby Jensen, all of Bowbells; his parents, Orville and Beverly Jensen, Kenmare; brothers, Barry Jensen, Hazen, ND, and his daughter, Jessica Berg and her children, Sydney and Ian; Kenneth “Kenny” (Sarah) Jensen, Lafayette, CO; Mark (Michelle) Jensen, Bismarck and their children, Miranda, Mallory and Matthew; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Tilla Jensen, and Herman Smith and Edna Smith-Jensen. Funeral: Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Evanger Lutheran Church, rural Norma, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, July 27, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare, ND. Family Prayer Service: Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare. Burial: Evanger Lutheran Cemetery, rural Norma, ND.
