Eddie "Jake" Arnold Jacobson 1946 - 2004

Eddie "Jake" Arnold Jacobson, 57, Killeen, TX, formerly of Minot, died Sunday in his sister's home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born November 18, 1946, in Minot, to Eddie J. and Selma (Freelander) Jacobson. He was educated in the Minot Public Schools. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1964 and served two tours in Vietnam and two tours in Germany. He also served at various posts in the United States as a heavy equipment and tank maintenance instructor. He retired from the United States Army in 1990 and made his home in Killeen, TX. He lived in Killeen until six weeks ago when he moved back to be near family and friends.

He was a lifetime member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Bob Gray Post #9192, Killeen, TX, serving as quartermaster and trustee. He was a confirmed member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.

Survivors: sisters, Eldora Kamke, Ardis (Ron) Painter and Linda (Don) Guidinger, all of Minot and Connie (Ray) Polak, Scottsdale, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Ahmann.

Memorial service: Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.

There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a register one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials preferred to Trinity Hospice, Minot Humane Society or church or charity of the donor's choice.
