Jacobson 1915 - 2003 Clarence "CT" Jacobson, 87, 1812 15 ½ St. SW, Minot, died Monday, April 7, 2003 at a Minot nursing home. He was born November 15, 1915, at Max, ND, the son of Thomas and Caroline (Herbronson) Jacobson. He was raised in Max and graduated valedictorian from Max Public School in 1933. Clarence married Ethel Friese on February 18, 1940. The couple lived in Max, where Clarence managed the Farmers Elevator until 1948. Clarence and Ethel moved to Noonan, ND, where Clarence managed the Noonan Farmers Elevator until they returned to Max in 1950. Upon returning to Max Clarence and Ethel entered into partnership with Agnes Morton in the Max Exchange. Clarence and Ethel were the sole proprietors of the Exchange for many years until they sold to the American State Bank, Minot. The couple continued to manage the Max Branch of the American State Bank until Clarence's retirement in 1979. Clarence was very active with the Max City Government. He served on the Max City Council and as City Auditor. Upon his retirement as City Auditor, the city honored him by naming the street his house was on Jacobson Avenue. Clarence also served for several years on the McLean County Social Service Board, the Northwest Solid Waste Board and the Max Fire Department. Clarence was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot and a former member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Max. Survivors: wife, Ethel, Minot; daughters, Sandy Sanders
(Larry), Minot; Jacqueline Ackerson, Edisto Island, SC; son,
James Jacobson (Amy), Mandan, ND; grandchildren, Jeffrey and
Michael Sanders, Dawn (Sanders) Talley, Staci (Sanders) Murdew,
Chelsea Brown Jacobson and Hannah Jacobson; 17 great-grandchildren;
