Wallace J. Iverson, 77, Minot, ND, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, in a Minot hospital.

Wally was born on February 4, 1930, in Fessenden, ND, the son of William and Madelyn (Canham) Iverson. He was reared and educated in Fessenden worked on the family farm and later attended North Dakota State University, Fargo.

Wally married Shirley Kramer on May 21, 1949 in Fessenden. They lived in Fessenden and other various locations until settling in Minot 1958. While living in Minot Wally worked for Pierce Mobile Homes for over 20 years. He drove truck for Morelli's Distributing Inc. and Koble and Sons Trucking until his retirement in 1995. He continued to drive in his spare time for Koble and Sons Trucking after his retirement.

Wally loved animals the outdoors and fishing and hunting with his son Rich. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors: wife of 58 years, Shirley, Minot; daughters, Patricia (Bruce) Beecher, Hazen, ND, Connie Raker, Freeburg, PA, Mary (Michael) Mohl, Zap, ND, Janet (Derek) Bakken, Halstad, MN; sons, Richard Iverson, Minot and Michael (Michelle) Iverson, Douglasville, GA; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Al) Koshel, Missoula, MT; brother, William (Darlene) Iverson, Santa Ana, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Madelyn, brother, Dale Iverson and great-granddaughter, Haley Iverson


Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, December 3, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot

Visitation and prayer service: Sunday, December 2, 2007, from Noon until 7 p.m. with prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Burial will take place at the Hillside Cemetery, Fessenden, ND later in the spring of 2008.
